So I forgot to post yesterday the goal I finally got to...14,000 words! Woot! Still pretty far off from where I need to be, but I finally passed 10,000, which I couldn't even get to last year. I'm going to try and write as much as possible today, but my solid goal is 3,000 words, which is a lot for one day anyways.
Today then, my plans are this: shower, eat, movie, write, hookah, write. Oh geez, not enough writing in there. *moves around schedule for more writing* lol, probably not a good idea to replace "showering" and "eating" with writing, but oh well! Til tomorrow!

My Squidoo Lens: Follow my Progress
Synopsis: A Hell of A Good Universe Next Door
Casey is your somewhat-ordinary girl: she has to deal with the everyday goings of college life. An annoying roommate, a cheating boyfriend, a stupid, talking computer that continuously crashes, kitchen appliances that won't leave her alone, a monster in her closet that no one else believes is real, a psychology teacher who keeps dying tragically (but there's still class!), and now a ninja who keeps following her around and seems to leave a trail of dead. What's a girl to do? How will Shadydale deal with the impending apocalypse? And why can't she finish her English paper!?

Ooh, look how many words!
I'm almost at 10,000 words, woot! Excited to actually hit that barrier, since I didn't even make it past that last year. I'm planning on pulling an all-nighter, since I don't have class tomorrow. I only wish I had coffee *sigh* I'll just rely on more chocolates and candies, and lots and lots of soda. Tomorrow, since I have no class, I'll be writing most of the morning (if I wake up?).
Random things I have decided to add to my novel:
Two of my real life friends
A random plane crash
Sinkholes
Ninja monkeys
And possibly more. I'm enjoying reading the Dare forum on the NaNoWriMo site, and I gotta say, I even put Kanye West in my novel (haha! it's awesome). But I won't say when, where, or how. Back to writing. My heart also now belongs to write or die, which is making me write so much more and so much faster. Toodle-oo!

NaNoWriMo...Let's Try Again.
So last year I attempted to do NaNoWriMo and failed miserably, reaching only around 8,500 words at the end of the month. This year I am determined to do better. OR ELSE! I've already got nearly 8,000 words written, so hopefully I can catch up and win this year. If not, I've still got next year...and the year after that, and after that...but it'd be alot more fun if I could win this year. So I shall be posting word counts on this blog, as well as some tips, ideas I throw out there, and my really bothersome struggles that I (will definitely) encounter with my novel.
Also, just stating a fact, that my novel makes absolutely no sense. It has a plot line...sort of...but it is completely random and weird. Of course, that just makes it more fun. It's why I couldn't finish my novel last year...it got too boring and serious, no matter what I tried. So, I'm going for a more fun approach this time. Tomorrow I shall explain what my novel is (sort of) about. Yay!
